Five Minutes

Give-and-take is assumed towards the end of working days.

New tasks do not commence in the last 5 minutes of any working day.

Also, should a task be able to reach conclusion with an extra 5 minutes beyond the end of the working day, it's assumed to reach conclusion.

This also applies to deadlines. Should a deadline be missed by 5 minutes, it's assumed the deadline was met.
