Editing Gantt Charts

Editing Basics

Each line in the editor represents a task. Commas separate task line details.

First, the duration of the task e.g. 2d (days), 3.5h (hours), 10m (minutes), 4s (seconds).

Second, the description of the task. Any reasonable text can be entered. Shorter text reads better on the Gantt chart.

Third, an optional Deadline. If present, it's the deadline for the task. Its format is YYYY-MM-DD e.g. 2026-11-19

Blank lines can be used to group logical Task Lines for editing clarity. They have no effect on the Gantt chart.

Extra Features

Break Date - A single date alone on a task line indicates a break. The tasks below it only begin after the specified date.

It's in the format YYYY-MM-DD e.g. 2026-10-25.
