Local Database

Local Database 'IndexedDB' is required. Major browsers support this feature. Some security situations may deny use of this local database, preventing you using 'Get Gantt'.

Known Examples:

'iOS' - Lockdown Mode

IOS Lockdown mode is a serious security measure. If your phone or tablet is in Lockdown Mode, you likely know.

Lockdown Mode is one of the greatest high-level security features on modern phones.

However, chart data can be quite large. Storing it in your browser is vital. Data stored in the local database is encrypted at rest. Only 'IndexedDB' offers the ability to store encrypted data.

To use Get Gantt, you would need to make an exception. In Safari browser, beside the url is an icon. Push it and select the three dots. The page actions menu appears. Scroll down to deactivate 'Lockdown Mode' only for 'getgantt.com'.

On the matter of security:

  • Web pages contain no links to social site, advertisers, or other data leakage opportunities.
  • Data is encrypted at rest in the browser
  • Data is encrypted at rest in the cloud, keys stored in a Hardware Security Module.
  • All communication is encrypted over HTTPS.
  • All local data is deleted when you sign out.

'Firefox' - Private Browsing Mode

Despite reports that Private Browsing prevents use of the local database, it appears to work.
